Back To Normality

About three weeks after the earthquake in Marrakesh life in Morocco was back to normal, especially here in Fes where the earthquake could be felt but didn’t cause too much damage.

The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.8 and the epicentre was located 73 km southwest of Marrakesh.

Morocco is located at the Azores-Gibraltar Transform Fault which is the boundary between the African Plate and the Eurasian Plate.

In Fes pieces of furniture fell off walls and ceilings, but sometimes what looks like recent damage actually lasts a long time already.
