In Morocco it is normal that when you expect some kind of palace behind such a gate it is in fact just a normal administrative office for people to obtain documents.
However the office building was populated more by cats than human officials.
Another reason why being in Morocco is going back in time is that the society is stamp based, means that you need a stamp on every kind of document.
