The Jeddah Tower, previously known as Kingdom Tower, is a skyscraper currently under construction which will be tallest building in the world upon completion.
It is planned to be the first one kilometre tall building.
Construction started in 2013 and was on hold from 2018 until 2025.
In 2022 it had reached about one third of its planned height.
Currently the tower can only be reached by car, my driver was only able to speak Arabic, the word “burj” helps in this case.
From above you can see that the Jeddah Tower is located in an area outside of the city which is also in development.
