Jeddah Corniche Circuit

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is a motor racing circuit at the Red Sea coast of Jeddah. It was completed in 2021 and is since then hosting the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Designed by the Tilke family it is named the fastest track of the Formula One calendar due to its long layout.

Turn six of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit is one of the faster turns.

I was able to enter the circuit after talking to someone, but then someone else came and said this part is top secret because of some changes of the track under construction.

The Corniche is the area of Jeddah at the coast of the Red Sea. It contains the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Between the circuit and the coast a multi use area was established.

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is a night race, so most sessions like the second free practice on Friday, the qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday happen after sunset.

Even when no race takes place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit the display at the grandstands is on and displays scenes from the previous Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

And half of the lights at the circuit are on as well.

As usual for Arabic countries, when they build something it is not only designed for its purpose but is more than that.

Behind the start and finish straight the pit lane building with the garages for the Formula One teams is visible.
