A Giant Leap On African Soil

Finally I would set foot on this fascinating continent.

A small step for me, a giant leap for me as well.

Africa welcomed me in the best way possible.

For the second time I was flying by business class after getting an upgrade, but this time even with a window seat, asante Kenya Airways.

On the way from the airport to the hotel in Dar es Salaam it had been hot in the car as the driver turned the air conditioning off at times.

African habits it seems.

My hotel room was comfortable, but due to the fact that Tanzania is a Muslim country there were those calls for prayer outside five times a day.

Also, on the last day there was an issue with the shower.

During my stay of a few days I also visited a village nearby before I returned to Kenya.
