From Dreams To Mixed Reality

I came with dreams and left with a mixed reality. The United States are, to put it diplomatically, controversial.

On the one side they were founded with values like democracy and freedom, on the other side those are not only questionable domestically but are being taken away from other countries around the world.

While walking towards the place I had booked in the suburbs of Washington DC I was mugged by two guys with a gun.

I thought I could walk from the metro station to the place as I would do in any other country in the world, but no. If there is one country where you can’t walk outside safely and freely then it’s the United States.

It is the question what the definition for a developing country is. But the cops were very kind and helpful. One drove me to the place I had booked.

Besides such domestic problems it is more problematic for many people around the world how the US are interfering in other countries and their policies, starting wars, kidnapping or killing leaders and so on. And if someone uncovers those crimes he is treated like a criminal.

Someone like Julian Assange, a hero regarding what he has done for the world, and a victim of selfish American interests.

The United States should find an equal place in the emerging multipolar world, without imperial ambitions, that would be the best for them and for everyone.

For a better reality where dreams can be real, including the American one.
