The Mercedes-Benz E-Class W211 was available as NGT, which stood for Natural Gas Technology. The use of natural gas in a combustion engine means reduced CO2 emissions compared to petrol which makes the car more environmental-friendly.
Ruhrgas AG supported employees in getting such a Mercedes-Benz E 200 NGT. These photos are from an event on 30 April 2004 when the first cars were delivered to those customers working at Ruhrgas, one day before the actual presentation of the model, including a guided tour through the factory and introduction by the chief developer of the model.
