Back in the apartment with this view over the old medina of Fez. Medina actually means city in Arabic but in English it is used for the old town of an Arabic or specifically Moroccan city. In the background the beginning of the Sahara desert can be seen. In the morning the sun comes up over the desert and starts roasting the area again with temperatures climbing from 30 up to 47 degrees on some days.
Among the typical sounds of the old medina of Fez like the birds that appear in swarms and sit on the trees, like the old woman who screams because she grew up in the huge house complexes with large distances, like the Spanish tourist groups with their guides, like salespeople, is also in the evening the sound of a guitar player playing his instrument in a nearby hotel.
