Rafael Nadal won his 22nd Grand Slam by winning the French Open for a 14th time and set new outstanding records.
He became the male player with most Grand Slam victories and the only player with more than ten wins at the same major tournament.
He won the final 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 against Casper Ruud, a student of his academy. It is a relief that despite different rumours he is not going to end his career anytime soon.
