The second ever Extreme E race was the Ocean X Prix at the Lac Rose in Senegal which focuses on environmental issues of the oceans.

The qualifying reminded a bit again of old Formula One days with Nico Rosberg competing against Lewis Hamilton, in this case the X44 team ahead of Rosberg X Racing, followed by ABT Cupra with Jutta Kleinschmidt being able to race at the location where she had won the Dakar Rally.

Fourth position for Jenson Button’s team JBXE, fifth for Veloce, sixth for Hispano Suiza Xite Energy, while Carlos Sainz senior retired after a technical problem.
