I have been a fan of Mercedes-Benz all my life, the first car I drove in was a Mercedes, and I have supported the Silver Arrows since I started watching Formula One in 1998. When the works team was created in 2010 I knew it is just a matter of time that the first championships would be won, and when it happened in 2014 I went to the factory in Brackley.
Mercedes show a precision, efficiency, logical analysis, and aim for perfection, just like Niki Lauda did, who I wish to have gotten to know personally. Besides of that it is great to see how the team supports equality, like the fight against racism.
Now after the 2020 season all of this is being rewarded with this outstanding record of seven constructors championships in a row. Formula One has two most successful teams now, which is just fair, although in some regards Mercedes are the most successful team already.
Niki would have been happy. Congratulations!
