The Nazca Lines are geoglyphs in the soil of the Nazca Desert in Peru. They were created between 500 BCE and 500 CE by people walking in certain patterns on the desert floor, removing pebbles and leaving differently coloured dirt exposed. Claims about them being of any other origin are fictional
