This is what was left of the US embassy in Nairobi after a bombing on 7 August 1998 which occurred simultaneously to a similar one in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It was part of the rising terrorism around the world which the United States created by their quest to rule the world. These bombings brought attention to al-Qaeda for the first time. Afterwards a memorial park was created at the former location of the US embassy in Nairobi
