When Nicola Tesla did experiments with radio communication he received a signal of which he thought it could only come from space. He thought it was sent from Mars, so that our neighbour planet has intelligent life.
In fact the source was Jupiter, and it is a natural one. Jupiter’s moon lo is on an elliptical orbit around the planet so it is kneaded by the strong gravitation, which in turn disturbs Jupiter’s magnetic field and generates radio waves.
