The Mercedes-Benz SSK was the supersportscar of the 1920s, or the hypersportscar even before the term was invented, the fastest car of the time. It was also the last car designed by Ferdinand Porsche for Mercedes-Benz before he left to found his own company and before he designed the first Volkswagen. A racing version of the SSK existed as well which won many competitions
